What’s the Story Workshop with Dr. Skyler Fontana, Robin Hutton and Special Guest LA Based Producer, Joe Fontana

Whether it’s a novel, screenplay, TV pilot or memoir… Or maybe you simply want to write for your own pleasure and personal development.

If you want to take your writing to the next level, it all starts with understanding how to nail down your story premise. This is the engine that allows you to write a satisfying story that will have commercial appeal

While many writers may have an idea or concept for their story, it is often not developed or clarified enough to enable them to fully write and finish the story. This workshop is designed to help you take your ideas to the next level. Develop a road map to get where you want to go, so that the story starts to flow naturally and becomes easier to finish and monetize.

Spend the day with Dr. Skyler Madison< Robin Hutton and guest speaker, Joe Fontana at the Serra Retreat in Malibu. Nail down your story premise, the foundation from which everything else flows. If you have a story that isn’t quite ‘there’ yet or even if you just have a concept or idea that won’t go away, then this workshop is for you. At the end of the session you should have a much clearer understanding of how to focus, refine and polish your piece. The workshop will include creative exercises, sharing and feedback from Joe a producer in LA, a master storydoctor and Skyler.

Joe Fontana, producer, will also discuss how he got into the business and how he works with writers to create great stories. Fontana will talk about what Hollywood is looking for, how stories get adapted for film and TV and the opportunities for writers to maximize their story’s potential. Get the inside scoop.
